I am writing to advise you that following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that the information you requested is not held by the NHS Business Services Authority. Prescription payment data is held for 60 months, at which point it is destroyed in line with our records management practice.

A copy of the NHSBSA’s records retention schedule can be found at the following web link. Prescription data is listed in row 723 under the ‘Retention’ tab.
