Request Reference: 8800 Request Date: 01 Oct 2019
Request: Hi, I would like to request data relevant to excess short acting beta agonist (SABA) prescribing. I would like to to be able to assess geographical variances and so can you please provide this as the most granular geography possible, be that local authority, region etc.. Could you please provide aggregated data showing those prescribed 1 in SABA inhalers in 12 months, 2 in 12 months, 3 in 12 months up until what ever the max in 12 months value is, per geography. Thanks for your help, I look forward to your response. [On 30 October 2019 you clarified the following:]We simply want the data to inform the Excess SABA prescribing respiratory comparators found here, pg. 11. We are happy with the assumptions/fixes that have been made to formulate this indicator although would like to know what these were if there is some documentation which exceeds that in the linked document. If you have this at a practice level and CCG level that would be ideal but if not then an aggregated CCG will be enough. [On 11 November 2019 you clarified the following:]Just the dashboard figure is fine thanks. Could we please have the numerator (number) and denominator (number) and percentage. 12 months is also fine. If we did want to request further back, say 3 years, would this be possible? If you have this at a practice level and CCG level it would be ideal to receive both, but if not then an aggregated CCG will be enough. [On 12 November 2019 you clarified the following:]3 years please.
