Request: You issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) to individuals where you cannot verify their right to a free prescription. 1. For a recent 12-month period (of your choice) please tell me: (A). How many PCNs were issued for this circumstance? (B) Of this, In how many cases did the customer successfully appeal the PCN (through the website or other process) on the grounds that they did indeed have a right to free prescriptions? (C) What is the total revenue collected for that 12 month period for PCNs as described above? 2. Do you classify certain groups (eg aged, mental health issues etc) as “vulnerable” or similar (as financial services companies do)? If so, how many of the above PCNs were issued to vulnerable individuals?
