Request: Dear NHS Business Services Authority, On your webpage https://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/what-we-do/pacific-programme you state "The Pacific programme used insight from our data and specialist expertise to identify and help to deliver a range of initiatives. This released more than 1 billion for reinvestment into NHS services." Can you please provide any information you hold on areas of saving, methodologies and analyses used to realise this 1 billion. Yours faithfully, [name redacted] [On 6 August 2019 you clarified the following:]In your response requiring clarification, you state that "For each project initiative we hold a business case, methodology, problem definitions, data sources and copies of supporting documents." I would therefore be grateful if you could supply these for each project initiative in the Pacific Programme. [On 3 September 2019 you clarified the following:]The BSA states that its Pacific Programme has delivered over 1bn in savings; the 2017/18 NHS BSA Annual Report (page 17) states specifically that BSA''s Pacific Programme has delivered 826m "recurring savings". You have helpfully informed us that this saving was realised by 28 "Project Initiatives". We are happy to make our request more specific in the light of this information. Please can you tell us the names of each of the 28 "Project Initiatives" that contributed to the savings of 826m in 2017/18; and the amount of savings each Project Initiative contributed, adding up to the figure of 826m in 2017/18.
