Request Reference: 8493 Request Date: 09 Jul 2019
Request: As your letter states: "works on behalf of the NHS", I should like to know if you are a company paid to carry out this work, and if so do you have any specific targets regarding these Penalty Charge Notices? [1 May 2019] I had heard a report on Radio 4''''s Money Box programme which said that 75% of these penalty charge notices were overturned on appeal which is a shockingly high number if true? If the figure is high, is there a reason for it? And if so, what do you propose doing about it? [On 22 May you clarified the following:] How many penalty charge notices are successfully overturned when challenged?
