Request: Dear Sir or Madam, Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 I seek the following information regarding antidepressants and withdrawal among patients registered in the UK, aged between 16 and 25: 1. How many patients aged between 16 and 25 have reported side effects as a result of coming off antidepressants? Please make this clear by dividing into the following categories: SSRIs, SNRIs, NASSAs, TCAs, MAOIs 2. Please provide details of the nature of these reported side effects, e.g. dizziness, sickness, excessive sweating, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, constipation, vertigo, tinnitus. How many cases of each. 3. How long did patients in this age group experience withdrawal side effects for? I would like to request data on the above for the last five calendar years up until the present time, broken down by year. If you are unable to fulfil my request in time, please begin with data from the most recent period. I would prefer to receive this information electronically, preferably as a data set, e.g. in Excel, not as a PDF. If the decision is made to withhold some of this data using exemptions in the Data Protection Act, please inform me of that fact and cite the exemptions used. If some parts of this request are easier to answer than others, I would ask that you release the available data as soon as possible. If you need any further clarification then please do not hesitate to contact me.
