Request Reference: 8213 Request Date: 07 Jan 2019
Request: When there is no conviction, caution or criminal record, can a person barred ONLY form working with vulnerable adults by the DBS be employed and work in NHS child and adolescent mental health service (CAMHS)? Is there any reason why he can not work with people under 18yrs of age if he is barred from working with vulnerable adults. I want this information under FOI act as a guide to the protective NHS employer when applying for a CAMHS job as there is no clear information regarding this. Please kindly also attach any information or NHS document which clarifies this issue.
