Request Reference: 7597 Request Date: 09 Apr 2018
Request: Hello, I had made a similar request last week which i would like to update with a new request after getting in touch with the DMD+D. Would it be possible to provide a database with the prices of all medications in the UK from 2011 to 2017? This is similar to the data provided by DM+D and summarised by the BNF every 6 months. Please let me know if you would like me to be more specific. Many thanks in advance, [name redacted] [On 19 April 2018 you clarified the following] Thank you very much for investigating my request and apologies for not clarifying further. We are essentially interested in retrieving the NHS indicative price of all medications (where available) including information on the manufacturer, the formulation and dosage. If we take methotrexate for example, the data could look like this: (row 1) Maxtrex 2.5 mg tablets (Pfizer Ltd), 24 tablet pack, NHS indicative price £2.39; (row 2) Maxtrex 2.5mg tablets (Pfizer Ltd), 100 tablet pack, NHS indicative price £9.96. Does this clarify the request? We are looking for a historical database of information relevant to “medicinal forms” per product on www.medicinescomplete.com
