Request: This is an FOI request directed at NHS Supply Chain in relation to the School Fruit and Veg scheme. The request asks: Does NHS Supply Chain specify what percentage of the produce supplied to schools under the scheme must be British? (And is this specified by category, particularly for apples, pears, carrots, tomatoes, and strawberries?) What percentage of the produce delivered through the scheme is actually British? (Please provide specific details for apples, pears, carrots, tomatoes, and strawberries.) How many producers supply into the scheme, and is local supply/procurement incentivised? Are there any stipulations concerning of the age of the fruit and veg provided (i.e. the time from pick to plate)? What percentage of the fruit and veg supplied is wasted or uneaten? Thank you.
