Request: This is a request for information under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I should be grateful if you would provide me with the following information. How many Prescription Penalty Charge Notices were issued by the NHS Business Services Authority over the period 1 January 2017 31 December 2017? How many of the Prescription Penalty Charge Notices issued over this period were subsequently withdrawn or cancelled? Please provide a breakdown showing the reasons why these notices were withdrawn or cancelled. As a percentage, how many Prescription Penalty Charge Notices currently remain unpaid six months or more after they were issued (If this figure is not available I will be happy to receive information for any corresponding indicators the NHS Business Services Authority uses to record non-payment). How many of the Prescription Penalty Charge Notices issued over the period 1 January 2017 31 December 2017 resulted in court action for non-payment? Have any reports for senior managers been prepared over the last two years regarding the relatively high rate of withdrawal for Prescription Penalty Charge Notices which have been issued? If so, please provide me with a copy of any such reports.
